The Project

This redevelopment saw the replacement of a 1960's with new high-quality offices and the restoration of the neighbouring Listed building within the heart of Piccadilly, London. We were awarded a contract for £240,000 for a ‘limited’ scaffolding scope with most of the main scaffolding requirements being undertaken by the trade contractors. However, as the project got underway, more of the scaffold requirements for the project were put in our trade package, thus increasing our package value to £990,000.

Our Approach

This project demanded tight control, clear communication, and proactive management from day one.
With our expertise and experience, we were able to manage this ‘scope creep’ from £240,000 to £990,000. Our site management team were able to manage, organise and plan our works to meet the demanding programme set by the principal contractor. We operated ‘an early warning’ system to highlight scope changes which could affect the programme and the budget. Weekly costings were provided by us to the principal contractor to assist with final account projections.
